Vince Harrison

Jazz Sax

Saturday, MAY 19, 3:15 Pm – PAvilion Stage

Vince Harrison began playing recorder at the age of four. He was constantly surround by many types of musical influences from his parents, brother, and sister. It would not be uncommon for him to hear Rimsky-Korsakov, Ravel, Santana, Frank Sinatra, Bod Marley, Miles Davis, DC Go-Go Music, and Weather Report all in the same day. By 7, he was playing flute and by 12 he began playing saxophone.

Vince has played with many bands and is forming a collection of different musicians into a group called Confluence. His main goal is to reach out to the audience by explaining the story behind the music in order to make them a part of the performance.
